Sustainable Ag Expo Tackles Current Challenges Facing Agriculture

From the dwindling supply of farm labor to the latest scientific findings on plant diseases, this year’s Sustainable Ag Expo brings growers the information they need to farm sustainably.

There will be a session explaining the dynamics that are shaping the supply of farm labor in California and what we can expect in the future. In another session, regulators and policy makers will describe where we are, but also where we are going in the arenas of greenhouse gas reduction (AB32), groundwater management (SGMA), and storm water discharge requirements.

Sessions with a more “boots on the ground” focus include the state-of-the-art and the future of mechanized farming, reducing the use of pesticides, monitoring, preventing and managing plant diseases, and using remote sensing data effectively.

The Exhibitors Showcase offers attendees the opportunity to browse the latest products, technologies, and services that can contribute to farming in an ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable fashion.
