The Central Coast Vineyard Team (CCVT) is a non-profit collaboration of progressive agriculture and natural resource professionals with a shared dedication to sustainable winegrowing. Together, we advocate an integrated approach to farming that balances the unique circumstances at each vineyard with those of the environment as a whole. Our work engages a broad audience of agencies, consumers and industry professionals including over 80,000 acres spanning six counties on the Central Coast; we are proud to be one of the largest regional associations in California.
Successes
With the ongoing support of our members, CCVT celebrated several successes this year:
- Represented the vineyard industry in the Regional Water Quality Control Board Ag Order Renewal process
- Represented the vineyard industry in San Luis Obispo County Groundwater Issues
- Enjoyed over 20M impressions for our CCVT Programs
- Continued core industry education programs by attracting over 1,000 people to our workshops, tailgates, and Sustainable Ag Expo
- Led a successful agency tour with more than 50 local, state, and federal decision makers
- Continued growth of the Sustainability in Practice (SIP) Certification program
- Grew press and consumer awareness through tours, trade tastings, consumer events, social media, and blogger outreach
