Ag Order 4.0 comments are due June 22. The draft will significantly effect vineyard operators. It is important for growers to submit comment letters. In this webinar, Kris Beal (Vineyard Team) and Willy Cunha (Grower) will review components of the draft order and provide key talking points for growers to include in their comment letters.

Ag Order 4.0 Workshops - Save the Date

(update May 26, 2020)

Central Coast Water Board staff has developed a Draft Agricultural Order 4.0 to replace the current Agricultural Order 3.0 that expires on January 31, 2021. Please join Water Board staff at one of three stakeholder workshops to learn more about the Agricultural Order. Due to health concerns from COVID-19, these workshops will be conducted virtually to avoid in-person gatherings. These virtual workshops are free of charge and will be hosted using the Zoom video conferencing platform. Attendees can use a computer or mobile device to view presentations and take part in a question and answer session with Water Board staff. Presentations will cover Agricultural Order 4.0, monitoring and reporting requirements, and information about the draft environmental impact report.

Comment Period Extended to June 20, 2020

Due to COVID-19, the comment period for the Ag Order 4.0 has been extended to June 20, 2020. Outreach meetings will be announced as they are scheduled. 

Vineyard Team staff is actively engaged with stakeholders in the region to frame comments and identify opportunities for reduced reporting requirements for vineyards and SIP Certified vineyards. We will continue to update you as meetings are scheduled.

In the meantime, we encourage you to review the Monitoring and Reporting Plan (MRP) which is the primary description of the reporting requirements for the new Order. Visit the RWQCB Ag Order Page for All the Technical Information, Documents and Deadlines.

Staff released a Conceptual Framework for Ag Order 4.0. This framework has material differences from the current order and will affect vineyards.
