Celebrating Our Scholars & Supporters

This week at our annual Member & Scholar Celebration, we awarded $86,000 in scholarships to an inspiring group of students — bringing the total impact since 2015 to nearly half a million dollars.

The evening's highlight? Hearing directly from the students our community supports.

Yale student Denise stood before the room and shared her journey from a small agricultural town in California to one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

She didn’t speak about grades or scores. She spoke about the courage it takes to leave behind everything familiar in pursuit of a dream. She reminded incoming scholars that college isn't something you're given — it's something you earn. She encouraged them to take risks, study abroad, and embrace every opportunity to grow.

Thanks to this community, Denise and students like her feel a deep sense of belonging, even from across the country.

We also kicked off fundraising for the 2025–2026 Juan Nevarez Memorial Scholarship, raising an incredible $24,500 in one night. Our goal is to raise $120,000 by June 30, 2026 to support even more students like Denise.
