SIP Certified's Biggest Year Yet | Quarterly Update from Beth
Whether you're already SIP Certified or simply interested in how sustainable wine is connecting with today's consumers, I think you'll find something valuable in this update.
SIP Certified stepped into 2026 with a refreshed brand, redesigned website, and new tools to help members tell their sustainable story with more confidence and clarity.
Every update serves a simple goal: connect consumers with the vineyards, wineries, and people behind SIP Certified.
Over the past six months, we've invested in research, marketing, technology, and partnerships that strengthen the value of certification and help more people discover the businesses behind the seal.
Here's a look at what we've accomplished together.
Understanding Today's Sustainable Wine Consumer
Before updating our brand, we wanted to better understand the consumers most likely to seek out sustainable wine.
Through research conducted with Likely Story Strategies, we identified key audiences motivated by environmental stewardship, personal wellbeing, transparency, and community values.
Those insights shaped everything that followed—from our messaging and website design to advertising campaigns and consumer outreach.

A Brand Built Around the Sustainability Story
his spring, SIP Certified launched a refreshed visual identity and completely redesigned website.
The new site makes it easier for consumers to understand what SIP Certified stands for and why certification matters.
New features help visitors explore certified wines, vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms while giving members stronger tools to showcase their commitment to sustainability.
Highlights include:
- Real Stories that showcase certified vineyards and wineries
- Impact stats giving conscious consumers clear, credible proof
- A Wine Finder that helps consumers discover SIP Certified Members and experiences

ReSIProcal Delivers Its Biggest Year Yet
February marked the largest ReSIProcal program in its history.
Thirty-two SIP Certified brands and 38 tasting locations spanning five California counties and Michigan participated in the month-long reciprocal tasting program. Eight new locations joined this year's event, giving sustainable wine lovers more places than ever to explore.
The program helps participating wineries attract visitors during a traditionally slower season while strengthening relationships across the SIP Certified community.
We love this program! We have been very successful in turning these guests into our own members. Wineries that are not participating are missing out on this great opportunity to get new members.

Driving More Consumers to the Wine Finder
During April and May, SIP Certified partnered with KMooney Digital on a targeted digital advertising campaign built around the consumer insights identified during our market research. The project goal was to introduce sustainability-minded consumers to the new Wine Finder.
The results exceeded expectations.
Wine Finder traffic increased by more than 300%, significantly surpassing food and beverage industry benchmarks.

More Visibility Ahead This Summer
Consumer outreach continues through August.
SIP Certified is partnering with Likely Story Strategies on a mini- and micro-influencer campaign designed to show environmentally conscious consumers how to find and buy wines from SIP Certified Members.
These trusted lifestyle creators will share SIP Certified stories and direct their audiences to the Wine Finder, creating another pathway for consumers to discover certified brands.
Want your business included? Make sure your winery, tasting room, and retail locations are listed.

Same Standards. Greater Visibility.
While our look has evolved, the foundation of SIP Certified remains unchanged.
We continue to uphold the rigorous third-party verification process that protects people, the planet, and business prosperity throughout the wine industry.
This year's investments help turn that credibility into greater awareness for our Members.
Together, our community demonstrates what sustainability looks like in practice.
Cheers,
Beth Vukmanic | Executive Director
