Hiring: Technical Program Manager

The Vineyard Team (VT) is a non-profit group dedicated to sustainable farming practices through demonstration, education, outreach, and certification. The group has a 25 year track record of effectively working with growers on a variety of projects. www.vineyardteam.org

Immediate Supervisor: Reports to Executive Director
Function: Develops and Implements Technical & Educational Programs
Responsibilities:
· Develops and implements research/demonstration projects based on needs assessment of organization’s grower and winery stakeholders
· Plans, organizes, and facilitates VT educational activities, tailgates, and workshops under the direction of the Executive Director and in coordination with committee(s)
· Provides technical input and support for the SIP Certification program
· Develops and coordinates topics and speakers for the Sustainable Ag Expo under the direction of the Executive Director and appropriate committee
· Creates and coordinates print and digital educational content for VT publications
· Develops and submits technical articles to external trade and agricultural publications
· Leads and facilitates various VT committees
· Represents organization through attendance and/or presentations at agricultural, regulatory, and community meetings
· Identify and solicits outside funding to support technical and educational programs
· Tracks participation and other appropriate metrics for educational meetings, workshops, and VT programs
· Supports other VT programs, as necessary
Requirements:
· Professional and/or academic experience implementing and outreaching grower research, demonstration, and educational programs
· Solid understanding of agriculture and related environmental issues, in addition to knowledge of the winegrape industry
· Able to perform position responsibilities independently without significant direct supervision
· Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work concurrently on multiple projects and deadlines
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to reframe communications based on audience
· Computer proficient in MS Office programs, in addition to experience/aptitude with websites, audio editing, video editing, webinar software
· Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personality types and audiences
· Professional, mature, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude
· Strong personal commitment to the mission of the Vineyard Team
Additional Qualifications: Degree in related field; 5 years experience related to viticulture, agricultural education/communications, research/demonstration project implementation
Schedule: Full time, exempt
