Flow Meter COST SHARE (hidden)

Project Summary

This program, in collaboration with Pacific Gas & Electric Company, aims to provide cost share incentive for grape growers to install flow meters at their well head. Conservation management of water resources cannot fully be implemented and measured without records of water use.

In order to achieve the most basic understanding of energy use from groundwater pumping, it is essential to accurately measure of applied water. Providing cost share incentives to facilitate the installation of flow meters will improve grower understanding of volumetric water use in the vineyard, a critical first step for improving both energy and water use efficiency.
